Terms of use
Last updated: pending publication of final terms
These terms describe how the Mektebi platform is used, the obligations of users and the platform, and how data and payments are handled. By using the platform, you accept these terms.
1. Definitions
The terms "platform", "school", "user", "administrator", "hafiz", and "student" are defined in line with their actual use within Mektebi. Detailed definitions will be finalised in the published version.
2. Service description
Mektebi provides a multi-tenant SaaS service for Qur'an schools with scheduling, attendance, tuition administration, and supporting tools. The service is provided "as-is" with best-effort availability and reliability.
3. Accounts and access
Each user has their own account tied to their school. Users are responsible for safeguarding their credentials. School administrators are responsible for managing invites and deactivating dormant accounts.
4. Data and privacy
Each school's data is isolated from other schools. Mektebi does not share, sell, or hand over data to third parties beyond what is needed to deliver the service itself (e.g., email provider, hosting). A detailed privacy policy will be published as a separate document.
5. Payment
The commercial model is finalised per school during onboarding. We currently work with selected schools without upfront contracts. Future billing will be transparently announced at least 30 days in advance.
6. Termination
A school may at any time request termination and an export of its data. Mektebi reserves the right to suspend an account in cases of abuse or risk to other schools on the platform.
7. Changes to terms
Terms may change — material changes will be announced by email to school administrators at least 14 days in advance.
